I hope that you are having a terrific Thursday, as you make your way through the day with gusto! Give it your best, live today as though it is your last day, and make every minute count! I am reminded of the story of the man who exceled in all that he did, rising to the top of his field with each career move. He was not necessarily the smartest, the most gifted, or the luckiest. Rather, he merely outworked everybody and did not stop working until he had achieved excellence! When somebody asked him why he worked so hard, his reply was, "Why would I NOT work this hard. My days on earth are just like yours; they are limited, so I go for broke every second of every day." Not bad advice for those of us with still much to accomplish in life! Have a great day and, as always, thank you for listening!

For most, this is a GREAT day for relaxing, sipping iced-tea, reading outside, heading to the lake, grilling (yes, grilling, for sure!), and enjoying life! Here are a few tidbits about Labor Day, each of which you can use to impress your family and friends today! - Labor Day in the United States of America is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. - It honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of the country. - In 1887, Oregon was the first state of the United States to make it an official public holiday. - Labor Day became an official federal holiday in 1894. Enjoy your day and thank you for listening! YES, we have made it to the weekend and to September, the unofficial end of the summer for me. Some claim Labor Day as the unofficial end of the summer, while others wait until the official end of the summer on September 22 to say goodbye to their summer. However, for me, fall begins today, complete with grand and gloriously warm weather, green grass still highly visible, children and dogs still playing outside all day, and green leaves still moving in the breeze! At any rate, I just wanted to remind you that ALL of our shows are available on our podcast page, the link to which is as follows: pwr.podomatic.com We hope and encourage you to visit our podcast page early and often to hear all of our latest shows!
