Happy Labor Day to all! For most, this is a GREAT day for relaxing, sipping iced-tea, reading outside, heading to the lake, grilling (yes, grilling, for sure!), and enjoying life!

Here are a few tidbits about Labor Day, each of which you can use to impress your family and friends today!

- Labor Day in the United States of America is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September.

- It honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of the country.

- In 1887, Oregon was the first state of the United States to make it an official public holiday.

- Labor Day became an official federal holiday in 1894.
